Default ignition switch

I just changed the ignition switch on my 98 Blazer and now it starts but only runs a few seconds. Anyone have an idea what's wrong?

do you have RKE? Im not sure if there is a stock security system in it or not that you might have to reset.

there is factory security on your truck, passlock system. did you reconnect the passlock wires and all? try leaving your key on for 10 minutes and then re-trying to start it

All wires are connected except the airbag sensor. Tried leaving key on for 10 minutes but that didn't work.Is there any other way to reset passlock or could it be somethig else?

My bad guys. I neglected to tell you I also swapped out the ignition key lock cylinder. I put the old one back in and now it runs fine. Thanks for your help.
