Default Infamous Abs/ Parking brake light

It is my turn to have to deal with the abs/ parking brake light coming on while the abs buzz occuring at low speed. I isolated the issue, so I thought, to the drivers side. I removed and cleaned the abs sensor. It had a lot of rusty debris attached to it. The 2 shims attached were in poor shape. I ended up using 1 of the shims, and after cleaning and greasing the surface, I assembled everything and took it for a test drive. Fortunately the low speed abs gremlin has gone away but the light still comes on. I will get some new shims and install two as per original set up, but has anyone got similar results? (That is the Abs engaging at low speed goes away but the light still comes on)? Also how critical is the second shim?. The sensor is not contacting the tone ring inside the hub but could the higher voltage with 1 less shim cause the light to still come on? Does the voltage on each wheel have to be close to each other for the abs to work properly and not trip a warning light? Or am I going to step 2? Ground wire or the control module resolder? Thanks to all who reply.
