Default intake or head gasket

ive got a 95 blazer with the 4.3 cpi, i ve been have a miss in it for a long time i started replacing wire, plugs, ect... with not much luck. it misses the worst once you are up to speed not when you actually getting up to speed. then lately ive notice its been blowing out lot of white out the tail pipe. for couple miles and clears up but the mist is worse then ever. so i fig that i got a blown head gasket so i start tiering it apart to replace i take the top of intake of and plainly see what cyclinder is get fouled out cause of the mild shake crap in that port ( which is the rear pass side ). well once i get the intake off i see it looks as of the intake gasket is leaking it was pretty wet around the water jaket next to the cylinder that is got the crap. i gues my question is would i be getting these same symptoms of that of the head gasket if the intake one is bad? i guess i question myself as to should i just reaplace the intakes or still replace the head gaskett? any help would be great full. thank you!!!

I'm no expert but when head gaskets have failed on me in the past,
there is usually water in the oil.
But on the other hand if you allready have it torn down that far I would do both just to be sure.
Good Luck

A compression test will let you know if the head gasket has let loose. Given the track record for intake manifold gasket failures in these trucks, I would guess that is your problem.

If u already got the new head gaket set and planned on replacing them I would jusyt go ahead n do it. that way u know u fixed the leak. and with the heads off, u can check the condition of the cylinder walls and valves. never hurts to know what shape they are in
