i have a 2000 4wd blazer and i am tons of coolant from the bottom of my engine when it is running. i was told by someone that my intake manifold has to be cracked...does this sound correct and how hard and expensive is this to fix? thanks a lot!

Not very common for the manifold to crack BUT, it is very common for the gaskets to leak. Best to pressure test the cooling system and find out for sure what's leaking. Most auto parts stores will rent/sell the tester.

You need to pinpoint where the leak is coming from, where is most of the coolant coming from, front or rear or side of the engine? Check all other things, water pump, radiator hoses, heater core hoses ect. Rule them out before you jump to the head gasket.

Sounds like what one of those chain auto repair shops would tell you....
