intake question
I'm in the process of changing my intake gaskets. I can not get the a/c bracket to move enough. Ive searched for hours and can't find what I'm looking for. What is the trick to this? It's a 2000 blazer. Any help would be appreciated.

take an air cutter and cut it. Jerry

It is covered in good detail in this D-tips Article. You have to make sure to get the two somewhat hidden fasteners.

ok I managed to get the intake off but the bracket is still not moving enough. I wont be able to set the intake back on straight enough. It seems like the bracket is still being held on at the lower drivers side bottom. Please tell me what I am missing. ive looked high and low.

Yes and yes. Still didn't figure it out yet.

seems it just took a little leverage to move the bracket far enough. Is there a waiting period to start the vehicle after intake on account of the rtv setting up?

there is a fork shaped bracket with a nut holding it on the back of it. just need to loosen it. if your prying hard, its not off.
when we did mine we started it up not even an hour later with no problems.
did you use fel-pro gaskets?
