interior lights stay on all the time
i have a 4 door 98 chevy blazer that the interior lights will not turn off unless i overide them. i replaced one of the door pin switches but didnt help. i tried unplugging each one with the doors closed and the truck running which should turn the lights off but didnt help. what else could be faulty besides the door pin switches?power train control module maybe?

RE: interior lights stay on all the time
You have to disconnect every one of them, isolating the ground wire that is there. Once you do that, put the door switches back in one at a time with only one installed at a time. Either that or test each switch with a multimeter. They should be open when pressed and closed when extended.
If you find that all of the switches are good, then you have a short somewhere in the system. Good luck with that. You will need it.

RE: interior lights stay on all the time
I had the same problem with my 96 blazer. In the rear hatch area I have a dome light that I can turn on and off from it a switch located on the light itself. When it is on all the lights in the car on, when it is off all the lights work as they should. This does not fix the real issue which is probably a pin on the rear hatch but it did fix my problem of the lights being on all the time.
