Keyless remote help
I have a 2001 chevy blazer ls. The other day i lost my keyless remote fob at six flags (I think on the superman but that irrelevant). Lucky the dealer gave me two of them. Unlucky the second one never worked. Now that I need the second one I tried to reprogram it(also to cancel out the lost one) but when I tried I had no sucess. I got into the prgramming mode in my blazer fine, but when I held down the lock and unlock buttons on the fob nothing ever happened. So i tried checking all the door, re-entering thr programing mode and holding down the lock and unlock buttons on the fob for 2 minutes and still no lock cycling.
The code on the back of the fob GM/UTA 15732805 and I was wondering if this was the right code for a 2001 chevy blazer? I think it might just be broking but I want to make sure before I buy a new one.

You have to match the FCCID with that on the remote (T code) with that on the receiver (R code). If they do not match, it won't work. Also, have you checked the battery in the remote?
The receiver code should be KOBUT1BR (IIRC) and it will be on the label affixed to the RKE module. The RKE module is located on top of the lower hush panel under the steering column, directly behind the data link connector.
I checked the RKE code and it was KOBUT1BR. I am confused once again because the only two codes for the FCCID on the fobs I can fine are KOBUT1BT and KOBLEAR1XT.
So I am assuming that the T at the end of the FCCID code is for transmitter and the R on the end of the IIRC is for reciver so I would need to buy a KOBUT1BT and my other one with this code is broken?
Does that make sense?
