Hey guys,

I have a 97 Blazer. The remote will lock, but not unlock. I have tried 2 different remotes and same thing happens. None of the doors including back rear gate/window will unlock at all when the unlock button is pressed.

Has anyone heard of this? How can the lock button work, but the unlock button doesn't???

p.s. I tried doing the unlock/on/off/on/off combo directions for reprogramming but the locks never cycle. I also tried holding down the lock and unlock for 7+ seconds.

 

Its weak but the first thing I would try is changing the battery and/or look for corrosion on the pcb. Perhaps taking the battery out for a while will reset something in the key fob.

 

Hey thanks. I will try it, but I believe I already tried both of my fobs. I can't understand how it will lock but not unlock.
