95 blazer 4.3l voertec "W"

i am in the process of replacing the cpi. i am having problems removing the lrg. diameter hose on the back of the manifold. I have the clamp that is on the hose pushed up the line. so the hose should just pop right off. That is not happening.

Also, do i have to remove the egr? i never saw tht in any of the threads

 

I assume you are talking about the line that runs to the brake booster. You can pop the other side off and take it away with the upper plenum?
