It is possible that it is the rear main seal, but I would check on the oil pan bolts first. I think a '95 has a sheet metal oil pan, but on my old '00 Bravada, the bolts holding the aluminum oil pan on had loosened up and caused a leak that had the same signs (oil through an inspection hole).

I have a 1996 jimmy same deal. as of the day i bought the car it was leaking. If it is the rear main seal as it was for me then that is bad news for you. I am lucky enough to have a father that owns a mech. shop. from what he told me you are in for a heck of a repair bill because replacing that seal requires you to have to drop the engine and trans. my advice to you is to have it looked at if it is the main seal than by an oil pan and an extra quart to have on hand. always remember that a drop of oil will spread out to half dollar size so hockey puck over night is like 5 drops in my mind. the other thing to try is a bottle of lucas oil treatment since it will basically make your oil thicker so it will slow the leak.

Just some clarification, you don't have to pull both the engine and transmission. One or the other will give you sufficient room to change the rear main seal. But it is going to be one heck of a bill to change it if that is the cause.
