Default Left High Beam

2003 ZR2

My left high beam stop working. Pulled the bulb out. looked good. replaced it anyway. still not working. right high beam works. looking at wire diagram the left high and low run off the same fuse with the headlamp relay controlling the switching from low to high for both sides on the ground side of the circuit. From the fuse slot i have continuity to the low beam connector but not the high beam. pulled the fuse box connector off and checked continuity from there to bulb connector. there is continuity. also checked from relay output wire to bulb with good results. Im thinking fuse box. just wanna check myself before i order one.

Have you checked for power & ground at the connector to that bulb? Power to both the low & high beam bulbs is provided through the headlamp power relay as well as the LT & RT HDLP fuses. Ground is provided to both the high beam bulbs through the DRL relay (via it's normally closed contacts) which goes through the multifunction switch. Both grounds connect to each other at the underhood fuse block Connector 4 terminal B4 (purple wires). If this isn't a true ZR2, then the wiring would of course be different.

I finally remembered to check this out again. Found my DRL relay missing. Installed a new one. Now both high beams work. Never thought the DRL relay would affect ZR2 high beams.
