Lf half shaft issues

Default Lf half shaft issues

On my 99 jimmy im attempting to replace the drivers front axle. Is there some trick to getting th inner joint to seat?

Late night here so I've read "inner seal" not "seat". Sorry buddy for being off-topic.
As for seating them, I haven't had a method. I just kept pushing till they get into place.

Take a mallet, not a maul, and pound it into place. By pound, I mean beat it in. You won't hurt anything wailing on it, but pay attention to know when it snaps in.

I use a rubber mallet, But I also push in slightly and slowly rotate the axle so I can feel the spines line up when starting the install

Put a dab of bearing grease on the axle end to hold the clip in the center and then SHOVE it in.....you will know when it is seated.
