Question Light button under the main light control

My new question is does my model have daytime running lights? I have 1998 blazer.

that button controls your dome light (interior lights). fun note, push it in/let it out 3 times in rapid succession (until you hear the chime) and youhave manually overridden the DTRLs. rock your markers with pride!

good good. between learning about your DTRL and how to bypass your DTRLs all in one night, you get a leg up on most
What are you doing out in Saudi BTW?

Thanx man...I tried to do it, it never worked. No chimes or any other sound. It was out, I pushed it in and repeatedly let it out three times and nothing.
P.S I live in Saudi, but nowadays im in UAE.

Hmmm. you have to push it in and let it out as one, in out =2, in out = 3, and you should get a chime (like you left your lights on or left keys in with door open). then when you drop it into gear (reverse or drive) it will run w/o DTRLs...
BTW: UAE has, hands down, the tastiest water in that area

I have a 98 as well and the over ride 3x trick didn't work for me. I even heard pushing it five times would work for other years/packages. I'm a little unclear about what you're trying to do, are you trying to get them to come on or go off?

@ABN31B...wait is it to turn em off? I think the dtrl is already off. The lights never turn on automatically when its dark. So does this even work for turnin the system on?So u hve been to this area?where all?
@codfos...I want to turn the dtrls on. I mean at night i have to rotate the **** to turn em on.

AH! @ both: i have DTRL, meaning my lights run during the day. they comne one when the car is in gear. i hate this as i love to run my markers unless it's dark or raining.... (personal preference)

@ CodFos: i want them dead! dead and gone! forever. i like to have manual control of my lights...

@ raza514: kuwait and iraq... for business, not so much pleasure... but of all the water we get, the stuff that came from UAE was the only one that never got the bug spray smell/taste after being heated and cooled repeatedly in the plastic botles. the cases of the UAE stuff would get grabbed ... as soon as the fork lift's moved
