ok heres the problem whenever i drive at night the lights in my dash behind the speedo are out now its just from 0-50mph that is in the dark everything else is lit up just fine now do these lights burn out and if so wat size are they or could this be a sign of another problem??

 

bad connection or the light is on the verge of going out completely...
idk but when i had my 93 s-10 blazer that was fun messing with that to replace the dash lights....
had one trip form my dads, were i was working on it, to my moms house so i could go to school in the morning with no working dash at all... the entire gauge assembly was out of place so when you r doing it keep trying the light all the time after you do something...not get it all back to gather then try it...

It's pretty easy to remove the dash on anything 2nd gen....well...enough of the dash to access the radio/gauges/steering column..

I cant remember the number of the lights...but I believe there are 6 wedge-base bulbs in the gauge cluster. Run a search for dash LED replacement or bulb replacement...alot of people have replaced the bulbs with LEDs. Lots of info on here about the gauge cluster.

 

194 wedge bulbs, 9 on my brothers 98 and 6 on my 87 if I remember right. The 2nd gens are a breeze to get the cluster out.
