Lights Problem!

um, i have a 2001' and my lights work when they need to, but when i put on the brights the driver side turns off, and its getting me pulled over all the time, how can i fix that? and how much could it run for$$$?[:-]

You probably just have a blown high beam bulb. You can pick one up just about anywhere for under $15.00.

Does your lowbeam on that side come on when you turn your highbeams on?

Check your headlight fuses in the fusebox under the hood...

all fuses are good, also checked that out earlyer and made my brother test them.. i think i might have somthing to do with the ampage and volt distribution senser... na jk.. um they all work when i click the beams on and dont let go, but as soon as i let them go it turns off

That sounds like a bad headlamp dimmer switch, which is only replaceable as a multi-function switch assembly...gonna be a few hundred dollars if that's the case.

I was having the same problem, it was a bad ground, I had to add a ground wire from the light to the sheet metal behind it.

Yeah I would try that first since that is practically free compared to a dimmer switch or multi function switch replacement/repair.

Difference being in the design of the headlamp circuit... A '97 is not the same as a 98+.
