You need to use a relay.
The switch needs to feed the Coil of the relay and then you need to run a beefy wire from the + battery (or heavy Auxilary spot in the Fuse box) to one side of the relay 'switch' then the other side to your fog lights.

they do not come from a blazer or anything they are an after market fogs, not very big, they can run from the fues box, but problem is the wire is soooooooooo short it only has enough room to go to the fues box, but they said it was probably the build so they are sending me new ones

you still need a relay unless your fog lamps have 194 bulbs in them

this is kinda like installing your amp, you should never come off the fuse block.connect directly from the batt. to a relay w/ a cooling finn or block and heavy gage wire. another thing to remember is whene using more amps than your alt can handle you risk catstrophic electrical failure so you should consider geting a higher amp alt. it just makes sense

It sounded like you were tapping off a Stock switch to combine teh Fogs with something else.
I added Fogs to my Motorcycle and ran the relay off my High Beams When I want to light the road, I use the High Beams and my fogs come on too. I use these for visibility at night and so people can see me during the day my intention was not to use them in fog.
