95 blazer 4door. i got the liftgate. i just noticed today that when i have the light on in the interior in the back switched on, that when close the hatch that it does hit the black plastic button( Button needs to be pushed to for the light to go off). i know if i push the button off with my finger the light goes out. i had to tape a piece to inside of the glass so that when i close the hatch the black button get pushed in. it looks like the button is atached on a metal piece. do i need to bend it out some so it come in contact with the window. i just what to know why when i close the glass hatch it doesn't push in the botton. rite now theres a piece taped on it so it pushes the button in when the glass is closed. help

Sounds pretty simple. Adjust the switch until it is properly triggered. If that means that you have to bend the tab it mounts to, bend it. But look at things first and I'm sure you'll figure it out. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work on these vehicles!
