Default locking rear end in a 2wd

here is my basic question. why does every locker on Summit Racing and other sites show that they only fit in 4wd trucks? i'm looking to get one for my truck because my rear end is getting rebuilt (again) and i figure while they're at it, i might as well.

nevermind..... i just made myself a hypocrit... i searched

Hey, that's one of my old threads.
Yeah, I think I've set myself to getting a lock-rite rear locker.

i have the smaller rear axle. i did figure out i have 3.42 gearing though. Matt, i figured you'd see this sooner or later because of that thread.

my only problem is that the only locker that "fits" in an 04 according to most sites is a detroit locker from Eaton and then it only fits in the 4wd. i call bs and am going to call them tomorrow
