Question for you guys. Yetserday my 99 Blazer cut out on me twice. Both times it was shortly after starting it and both times I lost complete power and everything shut down. The first time it started right back up, but the second time when I tried to start it, nothing!! I waited a few minutes and then it started. I am thinking a bad battery and/or connections, but would very much appreciate you help. Thanks again you guys.

my guess would be just a bad connection. If your pos or neg batt cables are loose, will do that. Also, if you have the protective boot on the battery cable ends, make sure that they aren't preventing you from getting a good connection. I just cuy off my boots on the cables, kept messing me up

Sounds like a total power failure and the above guys are on the right track. Not that you or they need my approval. I did want to add to what they are saying. Check the starter connections as well. Corrosion there will have the same effect. The positive battery cable runs to the starter, and then the into the cab from the starter. Make sure you disconnect the battery before you fart around with the starter. It has enough juice to weld your tools to the frame.

Thanks for the quick repsonse you guys! I remembered hearing about the tendency for the positive battery cable corroding, so I removed it and there was visible corrosion. I cleaned it up and tightened both + and - down tight. So far so good. I will also follow Hanr3's advice and check connections on the starter too. And by the way Han3r, from what I've seen you sure know your stuff, so thanks for your input!
