I recently replaced my belt and my belt tensioner. Couple weeks after that everyonce in while i will start my car the belt will squeel real loud; when i rev the engine up it will get louder but usally stop. It will keep reoccuring tho when I drive like i willl hear a quick squeel. Also when it starts squeeling and i start driving my car has a problem going. The rpms will die a little. my car has stalled out once and almost stalled out a couple times. And this only happens when the belt starts squeeling real loud.

 

Where did you buy the new belt? Whenever I've had this problem (with any car, not just my Blazer) it's always with an aftermarket belt. They are not made to match any particular car, but rather in a series of incremental sizes...when you buy one at the local Pep Boys/Kragen/Autozone franchise, they hand you whatever matches the original one the closest, and often it's not a great match.

I learned long ago to buy my belts from the dealer, it's one place that saving a few dollars just isn't worth the headaches. Particularly when it's a serpentine belt that is turning so many things at once.

That's my 2 cents, for whatever it's worth. And if your squealing belt IS from the dealer, feel free to ignore all of the above!
