Maintainence Plan & Transmission Question
Hey all.
I have a '02 Chevy Blazer ZR2 @ high end of 85k miles. Recently had to replace the engine (SO hadn't told me about the funny noises....BOOM!). Well, me and the FIL replaced the engine, as he is an experienced mechanic. Went great. Never had been much of a interest in auto mechanic work, but it has inspired me to start doing my own maintaiance and repairs as much as possible.
Where can I find a maintence plan, or can someone post one?
Oh, and this last week the transmission decided to go out - stopped at a red light, turned, wouldnt go past first gear. Pulled over to turn it off and cycle it, and now it won't come out of park. Seems to have a constant clicking noise from the gearbox area in neutral. Probably will take it to a transmission shop as that is beyond my comfort zone, but what could it be? I've been told everything from "Oh yeah, get a new dealer installed transmission" to "Probably just a transfer case issue."
