Default major brake shoe wear issue - HELP!

'96 S10 Blazer 4wd. Did this before, so I got new backing plates, new axle seals, new brake hardware, new shoes, new drums, & it's still wearing fast & uneven. Why would this (right) side, be grabbing first, & wearing so terribly? Pics show about 2kmi on these new parts. Shoe is primary (rear).

Two things come to mind. Failing wheel cylinder and/or auto adjuster not working properly. Either can cause shoes to wear unevenly like that.

New wheel cylinder. The adjuster looks to be working as it should. How about this for a theory: Adjuster on left side not working as it should. So, when the shoes wear, they have to travel farther & don't make contact until after the right side does. Thus, the right side grabs first, & wear excessively. Its the only theory I c an come up with, does it make any sense? I should have mentioned that this is used for delivery. It makes about 500 stops daily.

Have you replaced the wheel cylinder on the left side? I had this happen and after I replaced the wheel cylinder on the opposite side it fixed the problem.

I think that replacing opposite side parts, is the next thing to try. I'll give it a shot & see what happens. Thanks.

Just like yours, my right side wore out very quickly and my first thought was the right side was sticking when the brakes were applied.
After changing out everything on the right side I noticed that the right side brake drum was hot and the left was cool after driving and doing several 50-0mph stops.
Apparently the left wheel cylinder was stuck in and not working causing the right side to do all of the work.

I changed the left (opposite) side wheel cylinder. After I removed it, I squeezed it with my fingers, to get the fluid out. One side went in easy, the other took quite a bit of effort to compress. That seems to agree with the diagnosis. I guess we'll see in a few miles. Thanks.
