Default manual 4wd indicator

I have a 96 blazer LT with the manual shift 4wd on the floor and automatic transmission. 2wd and 4wd hi and 4wd lo all shift and front hubs lock in and release with out a problem. The little picture showing the front 2 wheels indicator stays lit all the time and will not go out. Has been this way since I bought her a few months ago. Only One time has the indicator gone out, but after using the 4wd hi in a snow storm this last winter it has remained lit. Can anybody give me any ideas.

This my second post of this issue and have yet to receive any help from anyone yet and I am puzzled.
