I have the same problem in my 2000 four door. It has been suggested to me that it might be the Idle control valve. I just ordered one and will post up with the results once installed in a few days. Any body tried this already?

Have you tested the wiring to see if you have a broken or otherwise compromised wire that is causing intermittent dropouts/spikes in signals necessary to the proper operation of the motor (TPS, IAC, MAF, MAP, ICM, coil, CMP, CKP, etc)?

Hey guys………this Monday evening I stopped for a fill up. I have always used regular gas in my blazer. With all the things I’ve tried to get rid of this morning miss and nothing worked so far. I decided to try a tank of plus grade to see if it would make a difference. The next morning I had my lawn mower on my trailer hooked to the blazer and the outside temperature was about 15 degrees cooler than it’s been all summer. So I figured this would be a good test. It started up, pulled out of my drive and it did not miss. Not even one time. So now, I didn’t know if it was because it was under a load pulling the trailer or the plus fuel that I was using... This morning it was even cooler than yesterday, so with out the trailer behind it, I started it up and it went down the road like a new blazer. I’ve got my fingers crossed because this is the first time I was able to take off with out the morning miss in over 6 months. Worth a try!!

It is possible that you have a lot of carbon built up in the combustion chamber... Premium fuel will resist predetonation better than regular or mid-grade. A few seafoam treatments (down the throttle body) may help clear up this condition if it exists.
