I have been thinking about this. If the aftermarket box has a starter cutout/defeat then you OEM circuit will be cut.If it merely adds remote start then the circuit may not be cut/interrupted.

So I figured I owe you all a close out now that I've got it running and driving again.

Turns out the reason the the new Ignition didnt work was because the old remote start bypassed the security. There was an additional module attached that wasn't listed in the remote start manual. Sure enough after-reinstalling the old ignition and then disabling the module, the security system tripped and killed the fuel like its supposed to. I've attached a picture of it below.

Ive decided to go no further in trying to fix it as so to make the new Ignition switch work, I'm just gonna return it and go back to using the old one.

My new fuel pump power plug has arrived and it doesn't wiggle at all! Glued it on for good measure, as when my cheap *** pump inevitably dies - I'll be quite familiar with soldering on that plug

I'm embarrassed to admit I spent two weeks chasing an electrical ghost that didnt exist, when the true source of all the trouble was a minor mechanical malfeasance due to my clumsy hands and hubris. But that's how it goes sometimes 🤷‍♀️

Your suggestions definitely helped me eliminate options - I appreciate your help on this George!
