motor question

Question motor question

Ok yes i am a girl and i do know a good bit about cars but this is something that i need to get some help on. i have a 96 blazer 4.3 vortec my papa drove it with no oil in it and it has seized up my motor i know that i need a new block, transmission flush, and filter and also a new radiator is a must. when i comes to this i need some help i have no idea what else i am gonna need.

are you going with a used engine or remanufactured engine? because a used usually comes complete, and a reman usually doesnt have the intake manifold, exaust manifolds, oil pan, ect.

well i am trying to find the best route and still be kinda cheap about it...the used sounds like the best route all around its just mine had 136,000 when it seized gonna be probly impossible to find one with that low of miles

when I was looking, they all had 180k to 220k and were still in the $1000 price range. I ended up pulling one out of a 2003 astro van with 100k on it and I modified it to fit my 96 blazer. If you want to know what modifications I did let me know, because if you use a newer engine you will have more to choose from.
