Default Muffler Rattle

I recently bought a new catalytic converter, I took the old one off and noticed there was material in the muffler as well rattling around. So I took the muffler off to see if I could shake it around to get it out with no success. Is there some trick to shaking things out of a muffler? I assume that it is material from the catalytic converter.

Eh, doesn't matter I ordered a new muffler for it this morning. It doesn't come with a tail pipe, so maybe I'll have to cut mine off and get an adapter and some clamps....

Probably made the best decision by ordering a new one. There is no secret to getting stuff out of a muffler short of gutting it.

Got everything installed minus the tailpipe now. Has a bit deeper of a sound to it the muffler is a Walker Sound fx, hopefully after the tail pipe is installed it will mellow out a little bit. Just one more thing, is it ok to drive w/o a tail pipe for a few days? Or is there a risk of something getting overheated by the exhaust gases not coming out in the correct spot.

The main risk is exhaust gas entering the passenger compartment and you dying.

Well got everything up and going, but I now have the P0143, when I took the 02 sensor out that was after the cat it had a dent on one of the sides of it at the end, I took my changes of it working a bit longer, guess not....
