MULTI FUNCTIONAL SWITCH ON 99 BLAZER
Just enough
Is the screw still tight enough you can't get needle nose pliers on it or something like that?

It's is backed as tight as i dare to go into the steel of steering wheel, and obviously has more lousy threads needing to come out.It looks as though getting a dremel type grinder device in there won't succeed either as i need a bigger disc to reach that spot.
Thx!

Well...you dont' need the switch anymore, break it off. It isn't too tough to snap off that one bolt, and then just cut the metal line that runs to ground. Then you'll have better access to the screw, if only to cut it off in favour of a shorter one. I'm not sure why you're having this trouble... i've had mine in and out about 4 times and my make-shift wrench with the torx bit(that was about 1" long) worked each time no trouble.
Just rip that switch out of there

Does that switch need pursuading to come out with a rubber mallet or something?I have the top torx out and the buttom one as loose as i can get it..but that big multi-switch thing is acting as though there's another bolt holding it on there.
Does it come straight up&off?
