Not to beat a dead horse, but there are tons of threads on this forum about the same thing...

The problem is the fuel pump, for whatever reason they all produce pressure on the low end to out of spec causing issues with the injectors.

You get what you pay for

Not quite right. The 'engine run' pressure will drop from 'key-on/eng off' because of manifold vacuum.

Should be about 60 in the key-on prime cycle.

Hopefully you can get your money back for the Airtex pump. Its just one of those things that you either already know or learn the hard way.

... I think maybe the forums time is wonky... my post got put above subtle's even though he posted before me...

The pressure was 60 psi at the crank. Ran for a few and lost pressure. Pressure then dropped, y'all were right with the after market pump. Looks like
I'm gonna have a fun weekend.

ugh dude im sure it was the pump. after installing 4 of them in mine over the course of 3 months...I went ac delco. no issues.


Smack the bottom of the gas tank with a piece of lumber etc. see if it runs

If it was cpi,it would still need to hold above 55ish for about 5-10 minutes. Its to rule out if the regulator is leaking into the plenum. But usually if its leaking,it'll drop pretty quick.
