Replace the vacuum switch on the transfer case. It's sucking in tranny fluid in the 4WD position (my guess)

i don't use it that much, but when i do it scares me, that truck is my baby ya know?i don't know how it could be the vaccum switch, cause it comes out the tail pipe, which doesn't make sense to begin with. how would 4wd make the truck smoke like that? this has had me puzzled for almost a year

If you have fluid in the vacuum lines, you likely have two issues; 1- bad transfer case input seal on the front of the transfer case & 2- bad vacuum switch.

To check for a bad input seal on the t-case, pull the fill plug on the back of the t-case. If fluid pours out, then the input seal is bad and the t-case needs to be dropped.
