mystery part

I found this in my right doorjam between the bottom of the fender and the rocker panel. I'm not aware of anything not working...can anyone tell me what this is?

Not like anything I've ever seen on a blazer... How big is it? There is nothing in the pictures to gauge scale from...

Oops...I should have thought of that. It's about 1-1/4 x 5/8 inches.

i think its part of the flux capacitor. really odd. never seen anything like it in any of the doors I have ever ripped apart. maybe Bill will know!

I don't see anything like it in any diagrams, but it appears to be some sort of eccentric cam.

It remotely resembles the plastic gear from the old style windshield washer pumps.....next guess.....

Thanks guys. I'm still wondering too. My guess is that it has fallen down from somewhere around the hood hinge or antennae.
Something I forgot to check this weekend...isn't the blower motor in the right front kick panel? Any linkages on the back side of it?
