Hi. I recently aquired a 95 blazer and i found this part just dangling. I cant for the life of me figure out what it is or where it goes. I know very little about cars so please forgive my ignorance. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated!

 

my guess is its a knock sensor - mine has one in the back of the engine on the riders side other is in the drivers head between cyl 3 and 5 - by thread it looks to be the one for the drivers side

Ok I looked it up and found the locations of the knock sensors and the drivers side is in the engine. Theres none in the passenger side port! Off to the parts stores. Thanks again.

 

Surprised the Check Engine Lite is not on??

 

OP? What were the symptoms you were having with your 95 Blazer? Any driving problems? Were they cured by the new knock sensor?
