#1 Get rid of the Haynes manual, they're worthless.

Haynes are not terrible, but honestly, they are not good. They have more detailed instructions to do stuff than a GM service manual. but, the lack of things they cover is the problem. I have both.

True, but most people already know how to change the oil Haynes and Chilton are like comic books compared to a GM shop manual.

Just a couple of quick thoughts for you, when the problem first started di you notice any loud rattling sound? Depending on the mileage, it could be a timing chain issue. The loud rattling would be the timing chain slapping the cover. There is camshaft sensor in some models that could be giving you issues as well. before anything you need to make sure the distributor is installed properly.

Finally got her fixed - Ended up being the spider injector....
