Default need help electrical and timing

almost got this thing running again but hit 2 snags.

I have 2 plugs that i cant figure out the small white female plug i cant find a match anywhere on the drivers shock tower. the second wire is an eyelet looks like it goes with that bus bar but its a positive (but following some of the black wires in witch i thought were ground they end up being red wires a little farther down.

The second question.
Gotta put the distributor on but i have to get it in time. dont know if cylinder 1 is TDC or not there doesn't seem to be any marking on my balancer pulley. also i hear you have to move the oil pump gear to position 1 on the distributor but im unsure how to. anyone have pics of this and any tips.

Thank you!!!

Sorry that must have slipped my mind. its a 97 blazer 4.3L vortec 4wd. i got it in time but i am not getting any power. i need to figure out the configuration of the plugs on the driver side fender well.

as grounds go i have
neg battery cable to bottom block
neg battery cable to front headlight bucket
1 ground on the back of each head
and ground on the alternator or thermostat somewhere in that vicinity.

am i missing any? everything else is hooked up but those 2 wires?
