Well that didnt last long, it worked all the way to work but stopped half way home. I stopped at a local chevy dealer and ordered an accumulator switch $40.00 and they do not stock it and will be in tomorrow.

I hooked mine back up and was all set to try the tap test...wouldn't you know it...runs just fine at the moment.

I will leave it hooked up and if it freaks out again I have my jumper in the center console ready to bypass the switch again :-)

Did they say what they want to evac/recharge the system?

I am going to call a shop tomorrow and see what they want to evacuate my system and then recharge it back up. You wouldnt think it would be much.

Renthorin, I just put my new switch in and it took me about 1 minute. It screws into a shrader valve, no need to evacuate the system. Thanks for everything. $40.00 fix isnt bad.

That's great! :-) So when you unscrew the sensor on the side of the silver container (love my technicality) it doesn't bleed the system?

Just want to make sure we are talking about the same sensor as the one in my picture.

Did that fix the problem?

Yes we are talking about the same sensor or GM calls it a switch and yes it is the one in your picture. The problem is fixed and again thanks alot for your help. Oh, the system will not bleed down on you, your good to go.
