Yeah after a while, the inside of the hose can deteriorate and will allow fluid into the caliper, but won't let it back out, that could explain why the brakes are still tight...

mine went on my Volvo when I had it and it was very obvious that the hoses were cracked

hey, i went for another ride today and made a couple more observations. (1)when im sitting still at a stop light if i press firmly on the pedal it will slowly go all the way to the floor. (2) when i do that it seems to free the brakes up some when i take off, but as soon as i touch the pedal again i can feel the drag start over all again.(3)after i got home i sat in the driveway pressing the pedal all the way to the floor and then releasing it trying to get a feel for how much they were draggin, and the pedal stuck to the floor 3 or 4 times and i had to put my foot under the pedal and pull it back out, making a distinct popping sould each time i released it like the rod for the booster was binding the pedal up. so with the breaks sticking, going to the floor with steady pressing and hanging up at the bottom could i be looking at the booster as my problem ?

That's very possible

Did you check for leaks around the master cylinder?

ok, here we go. i have another master cyl. on the way just in case. heres what we have. i have the rear end on jack stands and when i put the thing in nuetral i cant turn the rear wheels. when i put it in gear they wont turn until i hit the accel. but ,if i press the brakes at one certain pont in the travel of the pedal the wheels will start to roll. if i hold the pedal at that 1 point they will cont. to spin, but as soon as i relase the pedal they stop again.

all right, i broke down and bought 2 calipers today and put them on. it fixed my brake dragging prob. but when i bled the system the rears didnt have as much pressure on the fluid as the front, the pedal didnt firm up as much as i think it should have and the brake light in the dash is now on.
