Default Need Replacement Door Lock Remote Control

I have a 2001 Blazer and am in need of a replacement remote control for the door locks. Over the years I lost one of them and the other doesn't work anymore, even with a new battery.

Problem is, the Chevy dealer wants a ridiculous amount of money for two remotes and a re-sync them to the Blazer. Is it possible to buy the remotes from another source and re-sync them yourself?

Thanks

I ordered off ebay last week and bought 2 remotes. They were here in 4 days and it took me 3 minutes to program them. You must make sure you buy the correct one for your vehicle. I used these guys out of Houston,TX www.keylessforless.com and it was for new remotes, just over 50 bucks for 2, including shipping.

Default Key Fob Won't Synchronize

I just received a key fob for my 2001 Blazer. I went through the instructions 3 times but could not get the key fob to synch up to the Blazer. It looks identical to the original, but is it possible it's the wrong kind/wrong frequency?

Note each time I was able to get the Blazer into "programming mode" but the fob wouldn't link up.

Is it possible that the "receiver" in the car is what is at fault? Is there any way to check?

What a bummer, I thought I finally had a remote for my truck.
