The write-up by JayArr is flawed in the orientation of the key-hole slot and proportions of the clip. The end of the pin is supposed to go into the 'C' in the clip, not the more open end of the clip as you have it shown. There physically is not enough space for it in the more open end. Review the pictures Max posted again and you will see what I have explained.

Max, you have the clip on correctly in terms of how it goes over the pin. However, I would have put it on 90 degrees to the direction you installed it which should give it more clearance to the switch body. I.E. I would have put the clip on by either sliding it up or pulling it down over the pin, not forward/backward.

I tried to get it to hook and could NOT so my girlfriends son did it in about 5-10 minutes. I asked him what he did and he said he had to use a screwdriver and push up on the clip to get it to lock. Best I can do and WHAT ANOTHER BLAZER PAIN!
