Need verification on o2 sensor
The Chevy Blazer only has (3) O2 sensors, right? One near each exhaust manifold and one down stream of the catalytic converter, correct?
Well, I got the dreaded P0147 engine code this morning. I had a catalytic converter put on the truck after I bought it a few weeks ago because of the lack of one present. I just hope it's a worn out sensor. This vehicle has cost me too much already to get it ready for the road.

96 & 97 (2nd gen) have 4 sensors, 98 & newer have 3.
Sorry man & I'm not trying to be argumentative but mine is a 2nd gen, is it not?
No thread hijack as it pertains to his & mine either lol.
Ok maybe it does, we don't know what year he's driving.

Sorry I wasn't specific on the years.
It's just that I feel like I'm saying the same thing over and over again whenever I start a post, "I have a 1998 2WD Blazer with blah, blah, blah, etc." I just forgot I'm a new member and still don't have access to everything in my profile (believe me, I want to include a profile picture, garage info., etc.) I'll try to remember my "tag line" the next time. LOL

So much confusion lol hope we helped & collectively we can help the O2 sensor issue.

As Rittidog mentioned.... scroll up, almost to the top of this page, in the grey bar, left side, click on "User CP". Scroll down and click on "edit signature". Year, make, model, 2WD or 4WD, engine, trans, 2 door, 4 door, etc etc.
