this happened after i wired a overhead console into my car. does anyone know what color the wire is thats controls the lights being shut off by the dimmer switch and door switches? and if so what color wire would i connect this to on the console harness?(console is the long one with 4 spot lights one dome light etc.)

Do you recall what you did when this first happened? IE.. opened the door and the lights came on but did not shut off after the door closed. Or turned on the lights with the dash switch but would not turn off again with the switch.

This would give us a better idea on where to start looking initially.
Also, what make, model and year is your truck?

Knowing this will allow one of us with the same setup to walk out to their truck and see first hand how things are setup and be able to help you more easily and quickly.
