Default New to blazers need help

Hello all I just picked up a 97 4dr 4 wheel peel for what I thought was a steel 320$ 135k on it but there where some minor issues that need fixing, first is the shift lever I have a floorshift and it's stuck in park the button won't even go in but I do hear a small clicking noise near the steering colum.I did some research and found a post on here about the plastic grommet that is junk on the Trans side of cable is it easier to replace the cable or the grommet the truck is decently rusted underneth but I plan to do the old flex seal trick just to combat the rust now I know why everyone is bitching about going and pushing the lever to get it in and out of drive lmao any help would be great thanks

So, actually what kind of help You're looking for?
Reading without punctuation sucks.I've counted one single dot. A typo mistake probably...
