i'm working on my girlfriends 2001 blazer and have found some very helpful info on here. i'm getting ready to replace the fuel injectors on her blazer and was wondering what the torque specs and pattern are for the plenum? also are there any o-rings i should replace for the fuel injectors? RTV around the new gasket? is there anything that needs to be done by switching to the new style injectors?

This is the GM TSB, (technical Service Bulletin), it will help with the procedure: Service Information

You do not need to replace the bolts. Use threadlock, (not thread sealer) on the bolt threads, (very important). Tighten the bolts in a criss-cross pattern from the center outward. They are torqued in 2 steps: First pass 44 inch pounds. Second pass 80 inch pounds... NOT foot pounds. EVAP canister purge solenoid valve torque is 88 inch pounds.

Delphi injector assembly FJ10565, (Amazon has them cheap) comes with the mounting bracket, and you'll need to purchase the plenum gasket set seperately, (Felpro # MS95816). DO NOT use RTV sealant anywhere! Pay very close attention to where each injector goes, it DOES make a difference. Cylinders are labeled on the injector metering block. Oil the injector metering block O ring before installing the plenum, so it slides onto the injector metering block without rolling the O ring out of position. Labor time for the entire job is 1.4 hours.

The injector assembly is plug and play. Nothing needs to be done except drive it and enjoy!

I'll second what the Captain said about oiling the o-rings. Make sure you do it! Otherwise they'll bind and stretch and cause all kinds of problems on reassembly. I've done that job twice and I absolutely love the ease of the job and especially the results!
