New fuel pump.wont run good

Default New fuel pump.wont run good

hey yall i have a 97 s10 blazer 4.3 4x4 and the fuel pump went out on it.so i pulled the tank and changed it,while i was at it i changed the fuel filter to.so when i got done i put some gas in it and this is what happend.it want start right away it acts like a old carburated truck.having to pat the gas peddle.it might start for a sec after that but then die.then when i start it after that it runs fine.i guess after it warms up.does anyone have a clue what it could be.thanks brandon

Default RE: New fuel pump.wont run good

Brandon, after you replaced the pump & filter, did you re-check the fuel pressure at the test fitting? It sounds like you're not getting the fuel into the injectors like you should be. Look for a reading between 55-62 psi. Post back with you result.
