Thank you for the information, that is slightly confusing though (both should be hot but the one slightly cooler). I say confusing because I don't know if what I consider "warm" is the proper temperature or not for the cooler one. Regarding the flush, the only problem is I live in an apartment and its 15 degrees outside right now, so I don't think I can use a hose.

It's just that your hand is not a precision measuring device. If you had a IR thermometer one side might read 190 and the other 180 but to your hand they will both feel about the same. That represents the heat loss as the water passes through the core. If you can't hook up a hose then just disconnect the heater hoses and connect a hose to one side and blow to see if it's clogged. You can also try an air compressor if you have one but make sure you don't have too much pressure. I guess you could also just connect a hose to the outlet side and collect the coolant into a bucket and start the engine. The only point of this exercise is to determine whether the core is blocked or not. The core is free flowing and water and air should go right through it with no resistance.

Coolbeans, will see about trying to blow it.

Take it to a Jiffy Lube (or similar) for a coolant flush... and have them remove the core hoses and also flush the core.... replace with Green antifreeze and get rid of that orange crap.

I had the same problem in my 99 ZR2 back in 2003.... flushed it all out... and replaced with the good green.... never had a problem since.
