no heat untill i go over 40mph

Default no heat untill i go over 40mph

iam new to the forum and normally wouldnt post unless i have a problem the really gets to me. my heat does not work unless iam going aleast40mph

Check your antifreeze level, if it's low, you won't get heat until higher RPMs. That's how I found out that my water pump had a slow leak.

went to midas and they told me its the upper intake gasket and they can replace it at a cost of $330

Whatever you have them do, make sure that you have them use the updated lower intake manifold gaskets from Felpro. They will have a metal frame to them.
