Default Ramdom Misfire untill warmed up!

Well heres the problem, When my truck has sat over night it will misfire under light load untill driven about 15 miles. Now I have replaced the cap, roter, plugs and wires and nothing has changed. Thiese guys are having the same problems http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f107/r...-4-3-a-200188/

Now the genral consensus is to replace the fuel injector spider and all the injectors, and/or distributor gear. But befor I do anything what do you guys(and girls) think?

The first thing I would do is check the drain/vent in the base of the distributor. If the drain/vent is not functioning properly, it can allow moisture to build up inside the distributor and disrupt spark transfer between the rotor and the cap.

My 2001 Blazer did this, mechanic said it was probably a stuck lifter. I changed the lifters out in the summer, will have to wait for subzero temperatures to really see if it stopped the problem

hmm sounds like the exact same problem I am having after I hydrolocked my motor(might be coincident, but kyle might have my reason)... I'll do some investigating to, keep us informed of what you find.

I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer Zr2. I keep getting random misfire codes. The truck with hiss and pop when you first crank it up in the morning but once it warms up it drives down the road fine. I hear a hissing noise coming from the front driver side and I have no idea if its related to the misfire code.I just replaced all the wires and plugs. I have replaced the fuel pump heater core and countless other items and I am stumped on this problem.

If you haven't fixed the problem yet it sound like you have a vacuum leak.probably your vacuum canister which is located in your fender beside your abs box.do a search for a better description.

Sorry I never posted back on this thread, Replaced just about everything in my ignition syetem: Ignition controll moduel, Distrubutor pickup, Coil, Plugs wires, Cap roter(both with ac delco replacments). And what ended up being the problem was the distributor drive gear, Replaced it about 3 months ago now and havent had an issue to date.
