Default No left rear signal or brake light

So I just got my trailer hitch installed and I take the little skidoo trailer for a test drive and I realize that I have a burnt out rear signal light and no brake light. The tailight works though. So I changed the bulbs and it's still not working. So I figure they screwed something up in the wiring for the trailer lights. I check it and can't find anything wrong with their splices. I used a circuit tester and found that there is no power coming through the trailer hookups or to the signal light. So it's got to be a fuse or something that I could not see. Is there a fuse that I missed that controls only the left rear signal and brake? I did not check the fuse box under the hood only the one in the cab and that is for the entire flasher system. I may just end up taking it into the outfitter that installed my hitch if I can't get it. Unfortunately that is a real pain because of work and all that.

thanks in advance,

Nate

Default RE: No left rear signal or brake light

Does your left rear tail light work on your truck? The turn/brake light uses the same wire from the multifunction switch in the truck. If your tail light works on the back of the truck, then it is a problem with the wiring for the left turn/brake light for your trailer plug. Most likely it is connected to the wrong wire.

I found the problem, under the hood there is a fuse for each turn light, one of them must have blew when I plugged in the old trailer.
