no power wont go over 1700 rpm HELP
Had the exact same thing happen to me not too long ago. Replaced the cat, didn't help. Turns out this truck was a California spec model, unbeknownst to me (cuz I bought it in Jersey) and it had two cats... it was the one in the Y-pipe that was stuffed up. Replaced that as well and it started working fine.
(For a whole two weeks, then the manifold gasket blew out... that's another story...)

well its not fixed the cat was no the problem any other suggestions ????? i know i need a new 02 senor one of the wires is broke. that wouldnt cause me to have a studder and lose power after drivin for a bitt abouve 2500 would it.. i am a a loss idk what else to do. dont have the money to take it to the shop.
Which O2 sensor is broke? If it's the air/fuel sensor then that could cause the truck to run rough. I'd replace the broken sensor first.
My subaru had a similar problem. It would try to stall and run horrible until i went over 3500 rpm. Found the air/fuel O2 was bad.
