So this has been an ongoing problem, one night a few months ago both reverse lights stopped working. I thought it was the park/neutral safety switch, but isn't that only on automatic transmissions? what controls it on a manual?

 

Back up lamp switch on the left side of the transmission. It should have a two wire connector on it.
