Okay, I've owned my truck since December 2007 and when I bought it (to my knowledge) the reverse lights worked. Now...they don't. We've replaced numerous bulbs and fuses - anybody have any ideas?
I've heard there is some kind of 'switch' for them, but have no idea where it is.

 

The gear selector switch which includes the reverse switch is on the driver side of the transmission. It is possible that it is either out of adjustment or that the connections are corroded. When you move from park through the rest of the gears, do you ever see the reverse lights flash?

 

No, never. It's quite annoying when backing-up in the dark as I often do.

 

Is your gear indicator in the dash mechanical or digital?
